Notary Public

We offer notary public services in relatoin to the authentication of documents and the administration of oaths.

Some documents for use abroad require to be signed before a notary whose signature is on record at the Foreign & Commonwealth Office which will then authenticate the execution by adding an Apostille to the document, commonly this includes patent assignments. This is a service that we are happy to provide.

Additionally individuals may require to swear out an affidavit or other formal document in relation to a specific type of transaction. We can provide notarial services of this nature even where we are not instructed to handle the underlying legal matter which may be convenient for clients where the underlying matter is being handled remotely for example in relation to the sale of overseas property.

It may be that the law or good practice dictates that a notary with no interest in the underlying matter should be engaged; classically this has included the execution of documents on behalf of someone who is blind or who for some reason is unable to write.
